Hailing from Montreal via France, El Boy Die’s new album, Black Hawk Ladies & Tamborins, is packed with surprises. Recorded by Orsen Presence of the UK band The Monochrome Set, the album draws from a broad range of eclectic sounds. As you start playing the album, don’t let 57-second opening track through you off. As creepy as little children talking over harpy ambient noise can appear, it serves as a nice overture that sets the stage for the the varied themes presented on the album.
