The Best EP's and Such of 2009

Yes, for the first time, I’m breaking down my favorite music of any given year into separate posts so as to give each collection its fair shake. First up — my favorite music found in EP, 7″, and/or 12″ format.

Programming Notes:

  1. I have placed the entries in alphabetical order, eschewing the need to place any subjective number/place value ranking upon these records.
  2. With each entry, I have provided a link to artist’s website (with preference for an actual site over a MySpace page) along with any review I may have written and/or coverage provided.
  3. While many of the records on this list have been reviewed on this site, they have also probably received even greater attention elsewhere in the blogosphere (not to mention in the failing medium of the music magazine). Let me know your thoughts in the comments if you feel I’ve missed anyone or anything.

  3. While many of the records on this list have been reviewed on this site, they have also probably received even greater attention elsewhere in the blogosphere (not to mention in the failing medium of the music magazine).
